Erica Lulakwa Glenn is a singer-songwriter from Tanzania, East Africa. Her love of music began at the age of 8, when she began singing in her local church choir in the Kagera region of Tanzania.
After completing a degree in Mass Communication from St. Augustine University of Tanzania, she worked as a TV and radio producer at KISS-FM Tanzania, Trinity TV, and the Tanzanian Broadcasting Corporation.
Taking cues from artists such as Miriam Makeba, Celine Dion, Angelique Kidjo, and Janet Jackson, Erica released her first single "Tafakari" in 2005 — receiving wide release across East African radio and TV. In 2006, she made her American debut on George Sarah's "Moja Bila Moja." Her unique sound spans Dance, Zouk, Gospel, Afropop, and Traditional Rhythms.
